Dominica & Joey
Dominica first contacted me back when Joey first proposed. She was so excited to tell me all about her plans to have an engagement session, where she wanted to have them and what they would be wearing. A date was set.
Two months later, her session date approaching, she calls and says “We need to change the style of our session to a gender reveal!!” WHAT!? OMG! What a fun year ahead! We met at the beautiful Black Creek Park in Chili, NY. Walking back to a little private cove, they were handed a bouquet of balloons; some pink, some blue; Joey anxiously held a needle. One balloon holds the answer to the start of the rest of their lives.
It’s a boy!!
When the balloon popped and blue flakes of confetti started flying, both of them starting screaming and Joey started jumping up and down with excitement. They were going to be parents to a son and decided to name him Brentley. Knowing their Engagement Session was postponed to announce the birth of their son, we quickly began planning their Engagement Session before fall took over and baby Brentley would start showing soon!
The Engagement Session
After working together during their gender reveal, I was confident that their Engagement Session would be a breeze; I was so right! Their love for one another is such a beautiful thing to witness! Joey watches Dominica with a look that is unmistakable. Getting a future glance at their Wedding date and now having had the chance to work together twice, their love story was unfolding right before my eyes and I was who they chose to capture it step by step. Dominica booked their baby shower, one more step, I am so blessed.
Shower of Love
The baby shower may be to shower baby with lots of fun new books, toys, blankets and other necessities but it also shows so much love from those near and far! Love pours from all corners of your family into one little room to show so much support in their new chapter. Each one of these milestones is so important to remember and document and this being their third session, I am welcomed like family into their events which means more than my Clients know. Growing a relationship with Clients is my ultimate goal. Not only do they feel comfortable with me to capture these life changing events, they welcome me in with big hugs!

Almost time to meet you!
6 Months has gone by. Dominica messages me that they want to schedule their Maternity Session! YAY! This is one of my absolute favorite sessions to photograph; The Maternity Session!
“I can’t wait for you to see the gown!” She says as we are booking her session date. LOL! You’re right, I can’t! We arrived at George Bridge Park in Scottsville, NY. Many different background and short walking distance makes for the perfect session place for Momma to be! Wooden bridges, graffiti, leading lines, walking patch and open park all filled with beautiful trees for every season! Just like always, I am greeted with a hug and a smile!
It started to snow earlier in the day so the ground is softly covered with a dusting of white powdery snow. I love it; but I’m bundled up for this weather. Dominica and Joey arrive. She’s in a sheer gown, her hair is perfect and curly and she’s already shivering. “It’s ok, I’m ok, I wanted snow” she says. We proceed into her epic maternity session and she climbs in the car, already preheated by Joey who has been doing his best to keep her nice and warm.
