Adoption Day
Sheila had contacted me a few months ago and wanted to know if I would be able to document their 8th and final adoption. Oh my gosh, yes!
I educated her about our Small Event package and after some planning, we were set to meet. I arrived at the Yates County Family Court building and walked to an old courtyard in the back to wait for them. I soon heard the chatter of little giggles and laughs; around the corner came 6 perfectly dressed children and two beaming parents in tow.
Within a few short minutes, we were laughing, taking portraits and before we knew it, it was time to head into court. When we first entered, I had completely forgotten that everything I had with me had to go through a police inspection or x-ray machine. I carry a lot of metal, lol. So after a fun look through, we were on an elevator on our way up to the second floor.
I hear Sheila take a deep breath. She was ready… this had been a long fight for them and they were only minutes from it being final.
Over 2000 days.
Incredible.
These two little girls had waited over two thousand days in foster care to finally be able to call it their home.
Final Moments of waiting
Watching Laura and Miranda look at the Judge reading their case in amazement was a beautiful moment to witness. So many friends and family came to witness. The Judge said it was the most he’s ever seen attend an adoption in his courtroom. This was a special day for these two young ladies and their new Mom, Sheila, was going to make sure they felt it too.

Together Forever
From this day forward, all of these children have a Mom and Dad that love them and will be their safe guard. What better gift can anyone give a child? I couldn’t be any happier that Sheila wanted to document such a memorable event!
Congratulations Bryan Family!!
