When Becki first contacted me to photograph her son’s senior photos, she mentioned two main characteristics. 1 – He loves his car and 2 – He needs a little help smiling naturally.
When I arrived to our session, I saw this beautiful car waiting at the bridge and Becki introduced herself, George and her husband to me and we started setting up. We start getting a few lighting tests done and Becki says “Just let me know when you need him to smile, I will take it from there”; Intrigued, I said “Ok, let’s get a smile” and she makes a natural turkey call!! I couldn’t believe how real it sounded and George just gives off this perfect ten smile. Throughout the session, this was the highlight. Anytime I needed to get a good, natural smile out of him, I’d just let her know and she would do the call. I asked him if he thought it was embarrassing since she’s been doing it since he was little and he said “Nope, it still makes me laugh” ::::: Heart Flutters ::::: How sweet!!

Model Pose
One of the latest trends is to “Model Pose” for the camera. This entails looking at the camera but holding a straight face. It seems to be a favorite among the younger generation and hasn’t been my favorite trend because I love smiles; but when I had George do a couple more serious poses, I couldn’t believe how great they were coming out! I guess I don’t dislike it as much as I thought!
Here’s a few of my favorites from this session!
