The Bratcher Family | Evening session at the beach

Crystal and I became friends when I started following her beautiful photography years ago. Her creativeness and passion for capturing family’s, senior’s and newborn’s is unmatched. When she contacted me last year to photograph her lovely family, I admit that I was a little nervous! I wanted them to be PERFECT!! We ended up having SO much fun at their session and laughed our way through our shivering! (It was early winter) Their photos came out amazing and I was so thankful she trusted me with their memories.

After some fun chats about photography between the two of us over the last year, Crystal asked me to book another family session, this time at the beach! Yay! I knew just the place and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening! The air was cool coming across the lake and the sky was just lit up with pastel blues and oranges. We started on the boardwalk but quickly made our way down to the beach. Unbelievably, the beach was vacant and there was a perfect line up of sailboats in the distance, almost as if they were positioned there just for our session. Crystal explained how much they love the nautical look and how fitting this all was for their family. I was elated!

We had some fun in the sand with tickles and as the night progressed the sky to the west was putting on quite a show so we switched gears and had the lake houses be our beautiful backdrop!

We were able to stop at the boardwalk for a few shots on our way back to our vehicles also! I am so glad we got to spend our evening together and kick off our shoes! I am so humbled the Bratcher family trusted me another year with their memories! Here’s a few of my favorites from their session!
